Research Description
The study investigates the behavior of RC flat slabs with edge columns and openings, comparing bent bars, shear bands, and shear studs through experimental and numerical analyses using ANSYS v.21. Shear studs showed the best performance, increasing ultimate load by 23% and energy absorption by 97%, while effectively mitigating the strength loss caused by multiple openings.
